Ghost 8’s Tournament

DATE/TIME: Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at 8pm local time.

CONTEST OBJECTIVE: Successfully beat the Ghost competitor with the highest margin of victory out of all the BoardPunks competitors. The Ghost competitor will earn 8 points each round. These 8 points will offset the Player’s score for that round. Ie. If you throw in 4 bags (12 points) you will receive 4. If you throw in 2 bags in (6 points) the ghost scores 2. If you throw 3 in (9 points) you get 1 point. The winner will be the person with the highest point differential . 21-5 will beat 21-10 even though you both beat Ghost 8’s.

GAMES: 1 game allowed, playing to 21 points

BAGS: 4 bags allowed

UPLOAD: Players will begin recording at 8pm their local time (no later than 8:03 pm local time). Upload the footage to the BoardPunks group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/boardpunks) as soon as you’re finished – include the final score in your post. Submission deadline is 12am EST on 8/4/22. We encourage everyone to upload their footage to the group, even if you don’t think you’ll win. We will randomly select one of our non-winners to receive a free NFT.

In order to win, you’ll need to:

1. Score 21 points and have the highest margin of victory out of all the contestants.
2. Rotate throwing position after each round (inside to outside, or outside to inside).
3. Throw all bags in the same direction (Throw toward the camera. Retrieve bags and return to the opposite end as the camera after each round.)

Players must also film the distance verification before positioning their camera to record their attempt. Players must capture this verification while not stopping the video. Setup requirement below:

1. Begin recording using TimeStamp camera app at the contest start time (8pm local time; begin no later than 8:03pm).
2. Verify distance between boards.
3. Place camera so both boards are visible, with player throwing toward the board with camera behind it.
4. Begin challenge.

Court Setup

PRIZE POOL: $1,000 (payable in ETH via NFT buyback)

CONTEST ENTRY: Contestants are required to own an NFT, share a BoardPunks post and send a direct message to BoardPunks in order to be registered for this event.

JUDGING: All entries will be judged based on judges’ determination of the rules.

WINNERS: Any winners of the event will sell their NFT back to BoardPunks for the winning amount. Ie. If one person wins this event, BoardPunks will pay $1,000 for their NFT. If two people win, BoardPunks will pay them each $500 for their NFTs. Prize Pool / # of Winners = Payout per Player. If 5 or more Players tie, each will be eligible for $200 in winnings. Players have the right not to sell their NFT back to BoardPunks, but this will result in forfeiting their winnings.

TIES: In the event of a tie, Winners will split the prize based on judges’ discretion.

NON-WINNERS: Non-winners can keep their NFT to compete in future events. The NFT belongs to them, they can do anything they would like with it.
